PURPOSE: UR Administrative Assistants are responsible for ensuring all correspondence is reviewed and answered in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The UR Administrative Assistant shall be responsible for the provision of all activities assigned to them necessary for the smooth and successful operation of Lucent Health Care Management Division under the leadership of the Administrative Supervisor. Activities shall include but not be limited to:
- Processing and directing all voicemails to appropriate parties
- Mailing all correspondence as requested including denial/approval letters
- Update UR productivity reports
- Print and direct tickler lists to appropriate UR nurse; request updates, clinical information and discharge dates as indicated
- Send faxes to providers requesting diagnostic results
- Rename and move documents into appropriate folders
- Archive closed charts and remove CM reports to be deleted files
- Process monthly UR reports and place them in appropriate folders
- Excellent communication, written, telephonic and personal skills
- Ability to manage and follow through consistently and accurately
- Attention to detail
- Completion of all responsibilities in a timely manner
- Independent thinking
- Strong Organization Skills
- High School graduate
- 2+ years proficiency in computer technology and Microsoft word and excel
- Positive, proactive, team oriented approach
- Good oral/written communication skills

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Two or more years related experience and/or relevant training in a clinical environment. Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel and, possess proficiency in the use of technologies.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Knowledge of basic office equipment should include: Internet and email, copy and fax machines, postage meter and telephone.
Other Qualifications: Experience in team work environment, excellent communicator verbally and written, excellent time management and organization skills.
