The purpose of the Flexible Spending Claims Analyst is to provide exceptional customer service. Analysts administer and reconcile Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Dependent Care Accounts (DCA), Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA), Transit and Parking Reimbursements, Wellness Accounts, and High Deductible Health (HDHP) plans that are eligible for a qualified Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), and Debit Card Transactions. Claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Claims Analysts are the primary contact for our groups and members in answering claims questions, resolving issues, and reviewing/explaining reports that are provided to clients and members.
Demonstrates ability to work and problem-solve independently --- has taken initiative to research and resolve processing and system issues using available resources and without waiting for direction. Views obstacles encountered as opportunities for improvement and offers ideas and solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to report to work during core business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) on a consistent, regular basis
Responsible for plan set up, processing, reporting, and compliance/regulatory issues
Test benefit plans to ensure claims adjudicate correctly prior to a client going live
Responsible for establishing and maintaining Users within Processing System
Research, develop, document, and present policies and procedures.
Perform audits as needed.
Evaluate and enter reporting data as needed
Process FSA, DCA, HRA, Transit/Parking, and Wellness transactions
Verifies claim information imported from other claim adjudication systems is accurate
Review and Audit Debit Card transactions
Interpret and apply specific plan document language as well as determine eligibility for benefits during claims adjudication
Maintains current knowledge of federal regulations and compliance issues in regard to FSA, DCA, HRA, Transit/Parking, Wellness, debit card administration
Provide written correspondence and verbal information to members, group contacts, agents, and healthcare providers.
Ensure necessary check run process is completed and communicated to clients as needed
Provide responsive and professional customer service for clients
Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Work with members of staff on identifying process improvements
Flexibility to work overtime as dictated by department/company needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to assist other teams when needed.
Prior experience in administration of Flexible Spending Accounts, Dependent Care Accounts, Health Reimbursement Accounts, Transit/Parking Accounts, Wellness Accounts, and Health Savings Accounts in conjunction with a qualified High Deductible Health Plan.
Demonstrates understanding of regulatory and compliance issues. Demonstrates results in providing exceptional customer service, as our Analysts are the primary contact for our clients and their employees.
